In the production process of large-caliber water supply pipes, if they are improperly operated, many quality problems will occur, which are generally caused by equipment or raw material problems. Now introduce several common problems and solutions.
1.The surface of pe water supply pipe is corrugated
Cause: The size of the seal ring is not suitable during production, and the surface is corrugated due to vibration. There is also insufficient cooling.
Solution: Check the size of the vacuum groove sealing ring, if it is small, replace or appropriately reduce the vacuum degree of the first section of the vacuum groove, and increase the vacuum degree of the second section. Increase the sizing sleeve water inlet or increase the distance between the die and the sizing sleeve.
2. Pockmarks appear on the surface of the inner wall
Causes: The inner wall between the die and the core mold is not cleaned, the local temperature is too high during production, or the raw material contains impurities.
Solution: Check whether the raw materials are clean before production. If they are not, they must be cleaned up. Check the temperature sensor regularly.
3. The surface is not smooth
Causes: inappropriate melt temperature or problems with raw materials.
The solution: adjust the melt temperature or replace the raw materials before production.
4. There are scratches on the outer surface
Cause: sand and gravel are attached to the sizing sleeve, support plate or sealing ring.
Solution: regularly clean the sizing sleeve, support plate or sealing ring.
5. Inner wall grooves (mostly appearing in thick-walled pipes)
Cause: The wall thickness is too thick, the melt is difficult to cool, and flow occurs.
Solution: Try the central cooling system to reduce the temperature of the die and core mold.
6. Uneven pipe wall thickness
Causes:
1) The die or core die bolts are loose, and the die gap adjustment is inappropriate;
2) The temperature of the die or core mold is uneven, resulting in inconsistent material flow;
3) The sizing sleeve is misaligned with the mouth, the spiral shunt shuttle or the screen is blocked.
Solution:
1) Tighten the bolt or adjust the gap between the mouth and the touch;
2) Check the heating ring and temperature sensor;
3) Adjust the sizing sleeve and die centering to fold the shunt shuttle or screen.
